The forefather of the space flight simulator is back! Today Chris Roberts officially revealed Squadron 42, a new space simulator game he is working on, and he wants your help to make it a reality.

Squadron 42 is the name of the single player campaign, while the overall game universe will be called Star Citizen. The Star Citizen universe functions similar to an MMO, where players can interact, trade and fight with each other. Chris mentioned that players can design their own ships and even sell the designs to other players.
Joining the military, become a mercenary, explorer or trader…the game sounds it could almost be the Privateer Online which us Wing Commander fans always hoped for but never got. A personal hope of mine is that we’re able to land on planets and explore, kinda like the original Privateer.
